Teeth care is important to everyone because once teeth are gone there is no replacing them, the person is forced to get dentures. Which can be painful at times, and let’s face it, they are not your real teeth thus people may have a harder time eating with them. One of the most basic forms of teeth care is brushing your teeth. However, surprisingly there are many tips about brushing teeth that most people are not aware of.
For starters, people should brush their teeth two times a day, but no more than three times a day. There are many healthy germs in the mouth and by brushing more than three times a day a person risks the chance of removing the good. Likewise, for those that do not brush their teeth twice a day risk having the bad germs multiply and cause problems. Each time you brush you should aim for the time of two minutes in order to make the brushing effective.
Secondly, a brush that is extra soft or soft is the best to use. Those that use harder bristle brushes are going to find that they can possible damage the teeth and wreck havoc on their gums. This can result in bleeding gums and soreness that can affect the quality of life. And this brush should be changed regularly around three months after using or when the bristles start to flare on the toothbrush. For those that do not get around three months use out of the toothbrush, then they may be brushing too hard.
For those that prefer electric toothbrushes then the same rules apply. The person should use these at least twice a day and replace the brush head after three months or so. However, the person should be careful and not press to hard with these brushes because they can cause even more damage than manual toothbrushes.
